Installation: Forward-Facing
A positive click is NOT heard when the LUAS •
connector and the LUAS anchor are connected.
NOTE: If a positive click is not heard, but the
LUAS connector is in an upright position, you
should not switch the LUAS connectors. The
strap may be too tight or twisted, or there may
be debris in the LUAS connector.
Rotate the child seat into the forward-facing 6
position. Ensure the bottom of the child seat
is in full contact with the vehicle seat.
Verify that the LUAS strap is not twisted, 7
then attach the remaining LUAS connector
to the adjacent LUAS anchor (Fig. D).
A positive click confirms attachment.8
Push the child seat into the vehicle seat while 9
pulling each LUAS strap tight (Fig. E).
Attach the Versa Tether10
®
hook to the vehicles designated tether
anchor. Remove all slack from the tether to secure. Store excess
webbing in the tether pouch. See pages 25–28.
Verify that all connections are secure and that the child seat is 11
stable.
The child seat is secure when it cannot be moved front- to-back or side-•
to-side more than 2.5 cm (1 in.) at the belt path. If the child seat is not
secure, repeat this procedure or use an alternate seating location.

WARNING! Refer to your vehicle owners manual or contact the
vehicle manufacturer for the maximum weight rating for their LUAS
anchors. Use vehicle belt (not LUAS connectors) for installations with
children who weigh more than the vehicle LUAS anchor limit. Unless
specified otherwise by the vehicle manufacturer, assume a 18.1 kg (40
lbs.) child is the vehicle LUAS anchor limit.
