Guide
against the seat of the
vehicle.
1. Place the Booster Seat
in the vehicle, onto a
compatible seating
position with a three-point
lapshoulder belt only. (See
sections on compatible
belts and seating
positions.)
3. Have the child sit down in the Booster Seat.
4. Fasten the seat belt. Make sure that the shoulder belt runs under
the Booster Seat armrest nearest the buckle and that the lap belt
runs under both Booster Seat armrests.
5. Thread the upper portion of the shoulder belt into the shoulder
belt guide.
WARNING!
Children sometimes pull the shoulder belt under their arms instead
of over their shoulder. Please correct this immediately, and explain
to the child that when under the child’s arm, the belt can cause
serious to fatal injuries in a crash.
DO- Set a good example by always wearing your seat belt. Make
sure it is a firm rule that the car doesn’t move until everyone
is buckled up. Make no exceptions for adults or children.
‘DO - Always check the Booster Seat for heat before placing a child
into the seat. Plastic parts can become hot to touch in sunny
weather.
DO - Put the lightest passenger on the seat behind the Booster Seat.
In an accident, a heavy passenger could cause more injuries
to your child than a light one.
DO- Keep the Booster Seat securely belted to the vehicle, even
when it is not occupied. In a crash or sudden stop, any unsecured
child restraint and other loose objects will keep moving and
can cause serious injuries.
DO - Make sure that the Booster Seat does not become trapped by
a folding car seat or in the door or trunk lid of your car.
DO - Replace any worn seat belts immediately. Remove the Booster
Seat and inspect the vehicle seat belt periodically for signs of
wear, fraying or damage.
DO NOT - Leave children alone in your car, even for a short time.
DO NOT - Attempt to disassemble or modify any part of the Booster
Seat or your vehicle’s seat belts.
DO NOT Use anything, such as a cushion or coat to raise the
Booster Seat off the passenger seat. In an accident the
Booster Seat and vehicle’s seat belts would not be able
to protect your child as well as they should.

It is recommended that the Booster Seat always be used with the
Backrest so that the shoulder belt guide is available. Once your child’s
shoulders are higher than the backrest’s belt guides, you can remove
the Backrest (see page 7) and use the adjuster strap and clasp to
position the shoulder belt as described below.
1. Place the Booster Seat
in the vehicle, onto a
compatible seating position
with a three point lap-
shoulder seat belt only.
(See sections on
compatible belts and
seating positions.)
2. Move the shoulder belt
adjuster strap aside and
have the child sit down in the booster seat.
3. Fasten the seat belt. Make sure the shoulder belt runs under the
Booster Seat armrest nearest the buckle and that the lap belt runs
under both Booster Seat armrests.
4. Thread the shoulder belt into the adjuster clasp. Adjust the length
of the adjuster strap so that it fits snugly against the shoulder of the
child.
5. Adjust the vehicle head rest to support the child’s head.
WARNING! Children sometimes put the shoulder belt under their
arm instead of over their shoulder. Please correct this immediately,
and explain to the child that when under the child’s arm, the belt can
cause severe to fatal rnjurres in a crash.

Radio transmitters, such as a portable telephone or a citizens band
unit should only be used inside the passenger compartment if they
are connected to a Mercedes-Benz approved antenna that is installed
on the outside of the vehicle.
The cover of the Booster Seat is held in place by buttons visible when
you turn the product upside down. Unbutton the cover and follow
the care instructions on the inside of the cover.
To remove the cover from the Backrest for cleaning, unzip the back
of the cover and slide it free of the Backrest’s main shell and over
the headrest. Follow the washing instructions on the back of the
cover.
If the main shell becomes dirty, it can be washed off with water. Do
not wash with household detergents or with solvents - these can
weaken the seat shell.
