Porsche Prince
Instructions on installation and use
Please read through these instructions carefully before using
the Porsche Prince. The Porsche Prince is suitable for children
weighing between approximately 20 and 40 lb (9 and 18 kg).
The child is secured in the Prince via the lap shield which is
secured using the vehicle belts.
Warning
It is possible to secure the Porsche Prince or the child
incorrectly. This could cause severe inju

- the Porsche Prince is secured with the seat belts as
described in the instructions.

disconnection belt buckle in front of the front passenger
seat to turn off the Porsche front passenger airbag.
The Porsche Prince should be used on the rear seat facing
forward and fastened with a 2- or 3- point seat belt. If necessary
(e.g.: 2-seat vehicles) the Porsche Prince may also be used on
the front passenger seat.
For Porsche cars with air bags
Porsche testinghas shown that the Prince may be u&d
on the front seat onlv if the vehicle seat is moved fullv

This adapter
device must be installed by an authorized Porsche dealer when
purchasin the Prince. If your car has a seat belt with an
3 automatic ocking retractor (ALRI you may want to engage it to
help prevent unwanted movement of the Prince during normal
driving.

Securing the child in the Porsche Prince
on the rear seat
Place the Prince on the seat and let your child get settled in.
Place the lap shield on the armrests in front of the child’s
stomach so that the slot for the seat belt points forward.
The
closer the lap shield is to the child’s body, the greater the
protection.
The Porsche Prince can be used with the 2- or 3-
Point seat belts (fig. I, II).
The air bag disconnection belt has no function when the Prince
IS installed in a rear seat. The additional attached block (fig. I,
II, 5) must be removed when placing the child seat in the
rear seat for the Model Year 1999 911 only. To remove the
block the laces on the underside must be untied. Tie the laces
together to keep them away from the child.
Fastening the lap shield with a 2-point seat belt on the
rear seat
a) Insert the belt strap into the belt gtlide marked in red (fi
II, 2) on the lap shield, up to the slots of the beit gul

portion, and fasten the belt tuckle. The belt strap rnust not
be twisted in the belt slot of the lap shield. The belt buckle
and other rigid metal or plastic parts must be placed to the
side, out of the way of the belt guide portion.
b) Tighten the seat belt until it fits snugly. Make sure the belt
is not twisted (fig. II).
Fastening the lap shield with a 3-point lap and shoulder
seat belt on the rear seat
a) Pull out the lap and shoulder belt seat belt and insert in the
buckle until you hear it engage (fig. III, 1).
b) Insert the lap belt portion (3) in the belt
in red and tighten until it fits scugly fig. III, IV). The belt

The belt buckle and other rigid metal or plastic parts mbst
be placed to the side out of the way of the belt guide
portion.
c) Guide the shoulder belt portion (4) along the lap belt portion
and also insert in the belt guide portion (2) (fig. IV, VI.
d) Tighten the seat belt until it fits snugly. Make sure the belt
is not twisted (fig. VI.
Securing the child in the Porsche Prince on the front
passenger seat
The Porsche Prince may also be used on the front passenger
seat with the passenger seat moved to its rearmost positlon.
Place the child seat on the car seat and let your child get settled
in. Place the lap shield on the armrests in front of the child’s
stomach so that the slot for the seat belt points forward.
The
closer the lap shield is to the child’s body, the greatel
the protection.
