l
Put the vehicle seat’s adjustable head rest in its lowest position.
The vehicle seat back, against which a child restraint device is
placed, should be fully upright, padded and free of hard objects.
l
If the buckle tongues of the Infant Restraint cannot be inserted,
press the release button of the buckle and reinsert.
l
It is essential to ensure that a moveable backrest of the vehicle
seat is adequately latched and secure.
. The seat shell could suffer damage in an accident at a collision
speed above 5 mph. In such cases, the Infant Restraint must be
inspected by the manufacturer and replaced if necessary.
Problems With The Buckle
Most problems relating to your child’s seat buckle are caused by
accumulation of dust and dirt. These are easily washed out (see
Care And Cleaning section).
These problems include:
l
The tongues fail to lock home with an audible click.
l
The tongues are only slowly ejected after the release button has
been pressed.
l
The tongues are difficult to insert (you feel resistance).
l
The tongues will no longer lock home (are ejected again).
